Behaviour & Training

For dogs, cats & rabbits

Qualified behaviourist Jo and dog trainer Sarah make the perfect team to help you and your furry friends. We are also blessed enough to have a handful of other training working alongside us, all bringing a wealth experience and qualifications to the team. 

 

BEHAVIOUR

We offer a variety of behaviour modification packages for aggression, separation anxiety, resource guarding, inappropriate toileting etc. Jo holds a certificate in Applied Animal Behaviour from Southampton University and is a fully qualified Veterinary nurse. We offer consults for dogs, cats & rabbits.

PRIVATE TRAINING

We can help you work through issues via private training in your own home for issues such as recall, cat chasing, puppy biting, pulling on the lead etc.

£50 per hour session, includes full follow up training notes. 

PUPPY CLASSES

We also offer Puppy School training classes for puppies 12-20 weeks in Worthing, Sompting and Hove! See the Puppy School section below for more information. 

ABTC registered
6 week course £100-£105, includes certificate, rosette, free treats, glossy training manual, vouchers, a welcome pack of goodies from Natures Menu and a WhatsApp group for your fellow class pups and tutor to share and support each other. 

TRANSFORMING TEENAGERS CLASS

A 4 week course for puppies aged 5-12 months helping to guide puppies through some challenges presented by hormones, frustration and distraction. Also includes cooperative care and shaping. £80.

A 4 week course for dogs aged 12 months and upwards. Help your dog through the trials and tribulations of social maturity and learn about focus and calm. Includes cooperative care skills and advancing recall. £80.

Dog Walking

Bringing joy to your best friend

Dog Walking is one of our most popular services. Our team are experienced, insured and passionate about giving your dog as much fun as possible. Be it a group social walk or a private one on one walk, we will tailor our walks to suit both you and your dogs needs.

Dog Home Boarding

A Home From Home

We can offer your beloved pet a holiday of his/her own by having them stay in our own homes. They receive plenty of love and attention whilst with us and are treated in the same way as our own pets. They will enjoy being thoroughly spoilt the whole time they’re with us and owners are updated with texts, calls and picture messages on request. All boarding dogs are walked daily. We usually only board one dog at a time (more if the dog’s know each other / are from the same family), this ensures they are always our number one!

The team are fully insured, licensed and canine first aid trained.

Up to 4 hours - £15
4 to 8 hours - £20
8 to 12 hours - £25

24 hours / overnight - £35 

Two dogs from same household - £55

Exclusivity fee (owners request dog is to be the soul boarder) - £50 

Puppy School Classes

For Puppies aged 12-20 weeks

Puppy School is a set of six puppy training classes lasting one hour. The comprehensive programme has been carefully designed by the UK’s leading behaviourist Gwen Bailey. Aimed at puppies aged 12-20 weeks it will take you through all the obedience basics and skills for life, giving you a good foundation for life with your new puppy or for any dog training sport you choose to do later. The puppy training exercises gradually progress from easy to more complex, building on your puppy's understanding and reliability each week.

We offer courses in Sompting, Worthing & Hove.

We are thrilled to offer puppy classes for all vaccinated puppies age 12-20 weeks! Both Sarah & Jo were trained by Gwen Bailey herself. 

We have been Puppy School tutors for a number of years and we are incredibly passionate about helping owners to get things right from the off  – therefore preventing behaviour problems for a long and happy future!

Puppy School Worthing is on a Wednesday evening at the Vale School, Findon at 6.30pm, Sompting classes run on a Monday evening 7-8pm at St. Peters Church Hall, Bowness Avenue in Sompting. The course is £100 - run by Sarah – a registered Animal training instructor with the ABTC (Animal Behaviour & Training Council)* Sarah can be contacted on 07739385402

Puppy School Brighton & Hove Classes run on a Sunday afternoon at 3-4pm & 4.15-5.15pm at St Helens Church hall, Hangleton way, Hove, BN3 8ER. The course is £105.50-£107 - run by Jo - VN Cert AAB -a qualified Veterinary Nurse & certificate in Applied Animal Behaviour or her associate tutor Kate Jaffa. Jo can be contacted on 07958011127.

All techniques used for training and socialisation in classes are fun and easy for both you and your puppy.
No harsh methods are used or allowed at classes.

The Animal Behaviour and Training Council is the regulatory body that represents animal trainers and animal behaviour therapists to both the public and to legislative bodies. It is the only animal welfare charity that is primarily concerned with protecting the psychological welfare of animals undergoing training and behaviour activities. behaviour modification, and for the education of the animal owning public. 

Jo's Certificate in Applied Animal Behaviour was awarded by Southampton University.

Mobile Clinic

In the comfort of your own home

Why go the the vets when we can come to you? We offer a range of routine treatments for your pet in the comfort of your own home, making the process far less stressful for both you and your pet. Our team of qualified Veterinary Nurses and Groomer are fully experienced in these areas. 

We can offer:

  • Nail clipping - £5

  • Anal gland emptying - £10

  • De-matting - £15

  • Pet Taxi - POA

  • Professional grooming - POA

  • Medication administration -POA

Visit fee (£15) applies on top.

Rabbit & Guinea Pig Boarding

Bespoke facilities designed with small furries in mind

Joanna Reber Cert AAB & VN (co-owner pet-professionals) is a qualified Vet Nurse and Behaviourist living in Shoreham. She has designed a bespoke boarding hotel using her extensive knowledge of small pet care and rabbit behaviour. Jo offers year round facilities with heating indoor boarding for the colder months. 

She offers free nail clips, removal of matted fur and bunny bottom cleaning if required all for free to boarders (Unique to Pet-Professionals!)


Jo offers an exceptionally high level of care due to her qualifications and many years of experience. She has attended numerous courses on the care of small pets over her 15 year career as a Veterinary Nurse. 

Unlike other larger boarding facilities, Jo can offer much more individual care and attention as she limits boarding to a maximum of 3 clients.

Jo also offers a varieties of home grown organic tasty treats such as dandelions, strawberry leaves, mint and parsley.
