Welcome to Ruth and Kate
Pet-Professionals is pleased to welcome 2 new franchisee’s to our family. We felt that it was important to be able to offer our clients alternatives if either of us were unable to help for whatever reason. We had often thought about the possibility of franchising but were conscious of the potential problems larger companies can face such as losing the personal touch. It was of vital importance to us to be able to maintain the high level of care that we have always offered and this was a major consideration when looking for the right people to offer the franchise to.
We were very lucky to be able to have 2 very close friends wanting to join our team. Both are very experienced dog owners, hold/working towards the qualifications that we insist on. They also bring their own skills meaning that we are now able to offer even more services to our clients and their much loved pets.
RUTH
Ruth lives in Worthing with her partner and 2 dogs, a lovely and gracefully grey Springer Spaniel named Nelly and a very brave 3 legged Labrador named Scooby. Ruth has worked in a large referral hospital for 6 years as the Animal Ambulance Driver amongst other things. Prior to this Ruth worked in a very respected Kennels and learned how to groom dogs to a high standard.
Ruth has a Higher Diploma in Animal Behaviour and has done many animal courses at Plumpton Agricultural Collage to include City & Guilds in Dog Grooming, Animal First Aid and even sheep shearing!
KATE

Kate currently lives in Goring. Until recently Kate was owned by a border collie named Jay. Jay was a lovely dog but had many behavioural problems which Kate managed beautifully. Thanks to Kate’s patience and kindness Jay was able to enjoy her life to the full despite being on the anxious side. This makes Kate a very experienced dog owner.
Kate recently returned from Australia where she undertook a volunteer placement in a wildlife rehabilitation centre. Whilst there she cared for many sick, injured and orphaned animals where she gained a great insight into animal care and behaviour.
Kate is currently undertaking a domestic animal first aid course to ensure that your cherished pet is in the best of hands at all times.
As Kate does not own any pets she is able to board all the dogs that would rather be the only pet there.
Both Kate and Ruth will continue to receive comprehensive training from both Sarah and Jo, and always have our full support.
Thanks to Ruth and Kate we are now able to offer Dog Grooming, a Pet Taxi and live in Pet Sitting on top of all our other services.
