Meet Nicola!

Canine bodywork & Reiki

Nicola lives in Southwick and has two Jack Russell terriers Missy and Scamp.

She has recently joined Pet Professionals to offer a unique service in Canine bodywork and Reiki.

Nicola is a certified and licensed WEBB (whole energy body balance) for pets, bodywork practitioner. She is also a qualified Reiki practitioner of over 20 years experience.

She embarked on her journey with bodywork 30 years ago, which was shortly followed by energy work.

Nicola initially just worked on humans, however having always felt a strong connection to animals she began to use energy work on her dogs. Over the years she has seen great improvement in their wellbeing.

Animals are Nicola’s passion, therefore on hearing about WEBB Bodywork for pets training, she felt this was the perfect addition to further help animals.

Just like humans our pets also suffer with pain tension, and anxiety. This can sometimes be easy to see but often goes undetected by most pet owners.

As our four legged friends get older, they slow down and have less mobility, their joints can become inflamed and painful. A young dog may have overextended and sustained an injury through running/jumping. Soft tissue neck and back pain can be found to exacerbate anxiety/reactivity in dogs. WEBB encourages healthy movement of not only the body’s structure but healthy movement of the energy as well.

Whole Energy Body Balance is a healing somatic bodywork method that can help in all of these conditions; easing acute/chronic pain, trauma, regulate the nervous system and balance the energy system, creating better connection/communication for a healthier, happier pet. WEBB can be used in conjunction with Reiki, another healing modality that also works on improving the flow of energy around the body. It aids relaxation, reduces stress and promotes healing.

Both methods have been transformational with not only Nicola’s own dogs but also for her client’s pets.
